We chose the direct primary care (DPC) model — after lots of research, and even more time talking to other folks who have started their own practices —  because we think it really does let us provide the highest quality primary care to our patients.  Our memberships are intentionally priced to cost meaningfully less out-of-pocket than typical insurance-based primary care (with its co-pays, deductibles, and much higher need for using urgent care and the emergency department), while allowing this work to remain sustainable and fulfilling.
